I want to register my profile with the ServicePoint. How do I get started?
Once your profile has been verified you can log into the ServicePoint. Now we only need to know what company/companies you work for or represent. Please use the Contact Form to tell us which accounts we can link your profile to. As soon as your profile has been linked, you can make full use of our Falstaff ServicePoint!
Why should I submit my products to a Falstaff tasting?
Falstaff is the biggest food and drink magazine in German-speaking Europe. Our print publications, phone apps and web platform falstaff.com reach millions of food- and drink-loving readers. Use our reach to spread the word about your products and win new fans! Falstaff scores are an important marketing tool for your company.
Who can take part in Falstaff tastings?
Any producer, (meaning any winery, distillery, brewery) can take part in Falstaff-Tastings. Beyond that there also are tastings where merchants and/or importers can submit products. Who exactly is eligible for each tasting is listed under »Tasting«
How do these tastings work? Who tastes and scores?
Depending on the products submitted and the theme of the tasting, your products are tasted and scored by our wine editors in Austria, Germany, Italy or Switzerland. Spirits and beers – also depending on the product and ist provenance Herkunftsland – are tasted blind and scored by expert panels.
How can I submit my products to a Falstaff tasting?
As soon as you are registered with the ServicePoint, you will find a list of all current and upcoming tastings your products are eligible for under »Tasting«. Eligibility usually depends on your products, your country or region. (e.g., as a winemaker from Champagne you are not eligible to enter your wines into the German Wine Guide, into the Kabinett Cup or the Mosel Trophy, you can however enter your Champagne in the Sparkling Special). If you are interested in participating in a particular tasting which you cannot access on the ServicePoint please get in touch via the Contact Form or by email on wein@falstaff.com
How much does it cost to submit products for tasting?
The fees we charge are based on each individual tasting –depending on country, size of the tasting, number of products submitted, etc. there are different pricing scales. You will find detailed prices listed under “Tasting” on the ServicePoint.
For the Wine Guide Austria, which appears in early summer each year, participation is by invitation from the editor-in-chief only. The multitude of outstanding wine estates in Austria and the sheer number of new entry requests we receive each year by now necessitates a strict selection. Notwithstanding that, there are of course new entrants every year. If you are interested in entering your estate for the Wine Guide, please get in touch via our Contact Form or by email on wein@falstaff.com.

How are the scores composed?
Falstaff uses the 100-point scale for all tastings. The assessment scheme is here:
100 Points: unsurpassed, top quality
95-99 Points: absolutely world class
90-94 Points: excellent
85-89 points: good to very good, stands out from the average

Where and when are tasting results published?
The results of each tasting are published in the respective Falstaff magazine or Wine Guide and/or on falstaff.com. At the same time, the results will also appear under »My Productse« on the ServicePoint. If your products are listed in a Wine Guide, you will receive at least one specimen print copy.
How can I use the Falstaff score to promote my products?
You can order bottle stickers from our shop or request widgets for your website. Please contact our wine guide department at wein@falstaff.com.

How can I list my company with Falstaff?
Any restaurant, wine bar, inn, any winery, brewery etc, can be listed with Falstaff as long as they meet certain quality standards. If you are interested, please get in touch via our Contact Form or by email on guides@falstaff.com.
How much does it cost to list my company with Falstaff?
Listing your company on falstaff.com or in our phone apps and print publications is free of charge.
You can boost your listing by supplying texts and/or images for a fee to create a more impressive profile. The price varies according to media platform and volume. If you are interested, please get in touch via our Contact Form or by email on sales@falstaff.com.
How does Falstaff arrive at my rating?
All companies listed on falstaff.com or in our phone apps are automatically subject to votes. Depending on the company type, either members of the Falstaff Gourmet Club or the entire Falstaff Community can enter their votes. (E.g., the entire Falstaff Community can vote for bars and inns, restaurant votes are restricted to Falstaff Gourmet Club members.) All votes cast within a certain time frame are evaluated by our Falstaff Guide editors. Once a company has received a sufficient number of sufficiently good votes, our editors work out an objective overall assessment which will then be published in the respective print Guide and online.
I am unhappy with my company’s assessment. What can I do?
It goes without saying that we see „our“ companies as important business partners. We would like to support you in improving your assessment in the future. In order to do so, we will try and make the assessment transparent, for example by sharing comments posted by the Falstaff Community alongside their votes. Please contact us for a detailed breakdown via our Contact Form or by email on guides@falstaff.com.
Will my company receive a better assessment when I pay for adding images?
The basic entry (contact details, assessment and text) is compiled by our Falstaff editors. Beyond that, you have the option of boosting your entry by paying to add images. Of course, this does not affect the editorial process and has no bearing on the assessment.
Can i influence the assessment?
All of the votes cast by members of the Falstaff Gourmet Club https://www.falstaff.at/gourmetclub/ or the Falstaff Community count towards your assessment. The more votes your company received, the more likely is a listing and therefore an assessment in one of our Falstaff Guides. You can draw your clients’ attention to Falstaff votes – for instance with our widgets available in the »Shop« or the promotional material which we are happy to provide you with by email or via the ServicePoint.
How and when do I find our about my company’s assessment?
The assessments are published in the respective guide as well as on falstaff.com. If your company is listed in one of our Guides, you will receive a specimen print copy.
